Lemna minor are common plants worldwide, which doesn’t mean they aren’t cute nor very interesting. Seeds Aside has a special affection to these plants, they were kept in glasses during childhood.
Especially interesting in this shot is the close-up featuring an inflorescence. It doesn’t look like there’s any other plant flowering in the neighbourhood, so it may rely on either very driven pollinators… or selfing.










While I was completely focused on the marvelous flowers, I did not notice the little hole in the thallus, a good sign of herbivory…
