Confusing trivia. Did you know about Miami University? (there’s a great department of botany there, I found this when looking for a paper…).
So guess what?
#1. Miami University is located at Oxford.
#2. This Oxford is located in Ohio.
USA really are a world apart on their own… :-)

What is so odd about it?
The school is named after the Miami Indians who were located in the Ohio area. The state of Ohio named the city Oxford in homage to Oxford University in England… this was intentional,, not odd.
Thanks for the explanations… The results are still surprising and quite singular: the place appeals to very different areas.
