Wikipedia proposes to define Intelligent design (ID) as “an argument for the existence of God, stated in secular terms, based on the premise that certain features of the universe and of living things are best explained by an intelligent cause, not an undirected process such as natural selection.”
Usually, ID proponentsists don’t really like being told that their position is similar to that of William Paley, though the only differences are apparently that since we know today about DNA, molecular biology and so forth the argument is not about the same but add up to the initial claim of demonstrating the inference of a Designer.
